Alex Saiz is an experienced criminal defense attorney with over 11 years protecting the rights of those accused of crimes. Alex has represented thousands of clients from minor traffic offenses to sex crimes to death penalty cases and everything in between.

Following eight years as an Assistant Public Defender in Miami-Dade County, Alex decided to take his skills into private practice by founding the Law Office of Alex Saiz in Coral Gables, Florida.

Alex is a dedicated advocate for indigent defense and regularly volunteers his time to help those otherwise unable to afford a private attorney. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers – Miami, as Director of Legal Services at Florida Justice Center, and volunteers with pro bono efforts through the Cuban American Bar Association, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Camillus House, and the Public Defender’s Office Redemption Workshops.

A frequent guest of media outlets, Alex has appeared on local and national news as a source on Florida laws, voting rights, sealing and expungement, and on behalf of his high-profile clients.​

Alex was born and raised in Miami, Florida of parents from Cuban descent. He is devoted to the community he has always called him and gives back whenever possible.
